The Guangzhou Sports Center was officially built in 2001 and is one of the earliest large-scale sports venues in China to adopt market-oriented management and operation methods. It has hosted world-class and national level events such as the Guangzhou Asian Games, Men's Basketball World Cup, and National Games. The venue consists of three halls, of which Hall 1 is mainly used for hosting large-scale sports events, Hall 2 is used for daily national fitness, and Hall 3 is used for youth sports school training.

In order to better serve sports enthusiasts, Guangzhou Sports Center has undergone a comprehensive upgrade and renovation, with the No. 2 National Fitness Center as the core of the renovation. In order to meet the requirements of the venue area, facilities, planning, and other projects of Guangzhou Gymnasium No.2, the lighting part is provided by Huaxia Beidouxing with professional LED sports lighting solutions, and strictly follows the national standard requirements for design and construction.

The sports arena uses an APP intelligent control system to provide on-demand lighting and one click direct access. At the same time, it adopts Huaxia Beidou star optoelectronic separation technology to improve maintenance efficiency. During the renovation process, do not damage the original building structure and maintain its original beauty. After the renovation, the lighting effect of the venue has reached the national sports level II (amateur competitions, professional training) standard, presenting excellent visual effects, achieving cost reduction and efficiency improvement, green and low-carbon, actively responding to the "national environmental protection policy", and receiving high praise from the venue.
